C li TRUETRACK BRAKE DIAGNOSIS 15 11 A l CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTION V Brake light comes on after a 2 5 Modulator travel switch connector Check connector at modulator travel switch second delay System completely not making contact with the termi temrinal for security inoperative but eixercise cycle OK nal or open circuit in the lead Ignition switch on or engine Remove modulator travel switch connector running Cont d from terminal and insert jumper from con nector to ground If system now operates normally the travel switch is faulty requir ing modulator replacement If system is still inoperative check continuity of modulator travel switch lead If open replace harness Controller faulty Replace controller Brake light comes on after a is Solenoid lead s open Check connector at solenoid valve for secu second delay System complete in rity operative and nonexercise cycle i Ignition switch on or engine Remove connector and check resistance of I running solenoid 36 ohms If out of limit replace solenoid Remove connector s to controller Also dis connect pink feed wire to system harness Check continuity of terminals C and D at the harness connector with a jumper tempo ranly inserted across the solenoid valve con nector terminals lf open replace harness Controller faulty Replace controller l False releases while car is in Frayed shield leads causing inter Visually check shield leads and connectors motion mittent short for stray strands of wire Repair or replace harness as required Loose electrical connections Perform ohmeter test on harness Controller faulty Replace controller False re eases while car is Controller faulty Replace controller parked with en ine running or igni tion switch ong Loose electrical connections Perform ohmeter test on harness Does not cycle down to 5 mph dur Insufficient operating vacuum Look for severe vacuum leak and correct ing maximum braking effort stop Controller faulty Replace controller Brake light on 2 5 seconds after Defective brake combination valve Replace brake combinition valve l high brake pressure is applied excessive pressure applied to modu lator plt r 1 4
