SEATS 5H 7 M l clip in slot in roller drum to maintain spring V tension of retractor See Fig SHB y IMPORTANT Wire to remain in slot until re RETRACT TABS tractor is reinstalled ln the event that spring tension is lost drum on retractor can be turned if 8 revolutions by hand to regain spring tension FLAT BLADED TOOL I E 3 Using a flat bladed tool slightly pry open tabs V that secure belt on drum and remove retractor 7 J ri Qt I from belt See Fig SH9 1 rv ni tm ltaet Q rr 1 A1 V ns II 1i n i 4 4 g g 1 With seat belt fully extended insert belt under A WlRE tabs on retractor and position on center oi seat 1 mai belt NOTE Tabs on retractor to be on inboard side Fig 5H Rem v l of Rerraeror from Sear Belt of seat belt and bail pointing frontward RETRACTOR 2 Using pliers lightly bend down tabs securing belt to drum Removal 3 Remove wire from slot in drum when replac 1 Extend outboard seat belt to full length ing with new retractor 21 retaining clip that retains spring tension will be on retractor which is to be 2 Insert 1 piece of stiff wire such as a paper removed and allow belt to roll up on retractor
